Dr. Gail Weingast’s Passion for Ultrasound and Radiology

Dr. Gail Weingast has made significant contributions to the fields of ultrasound and radiology over her 40-year career. After earning her MD from Boston University’s School of Medicine in 1976, she completed a pediatrics internship and residency at Colorado General Hospital. Her focus shifted to radiology with a residency from 1980 to 1983, followed by an ultrasound fellowship at the same institution. Dr. Gail Weingast’s expertise grew through post-graduate studies at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, leading to a distinguished career in medical imaging. She currently serves as Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut.
